Welcome back to Part Three of my review of 2023! In the last post, I reviewed every movie I watched last year; now, I’m going to review the shows I watched last year.
Spoiler Warning: Stop now while you’re ahead if you don’t want spoilers to any piece of media I’m about to mention. You have been warned.
Shows:
We next have the category of shows I watched last year.
This past year, I saw just three shows sadly. That I can remember, at least. I will rank them as follows:
1st Place: ONE PIECE
2nd Place: The Night Agent
3rd Place: The Last of Us
I liked ONE PIECE the most because of the characters (especially Nami) and the fact that it wasn’t a cringe live-action Anime adaptation. Sadly, lots of Anime live-action adaptations are cringe, but Thank God this one wasn’t. A highlight for me was Usopp’s relationship with Kaya, the sickly rich girl he was good friends with. Thank God Sanji wasn’t adapted in a cringy way. Zoro was great, and Nami was my favorite character, I especially liked her storyline. As for the man himself Luffy, he was surprisingly a good pick. The actor embodied what I thought Luffy might be like in real life. The world-building was good too. I loved the snail phones, they were so cute without being cringy. The rubber power (Gum-Gum) effects for Luffy were done well too.
The Night Agent was a show I only saw the last two or three episodes of, but I still liked it better than The Last of Us. Why? Because the story was surprisingly not bad, I forgot what it was about, but it wasn’t bad. My Mom and Dad were the ones who saw the whole thing, I just tagged along on the last episodes cuz I thought the MC was hot. Literally just that.
Lastly, we unfortunately have The Last of Us. It started off okay, sadly I couldn’t finish the series, but I’ve seen clips on YouTube of the last few episodes, and I’m not satisfied. Pedro Pascal is not my Joel. I seriously believe Nikolaj Coster-Waldau would’ve been a better Joel. There’s a movie he starred in, I forgot which, where he grew out his facial hair and he looks better as Joel than Pedro Pascal. And then there’s Ellie. Bella Ramsey doesn’t have the same charm as Ellie in the game. And no, it’s not about their looks, it’s about their acting. Pedro and Bella just aren’t as good of actors as HBO thought they were.
That’s it for now, I have to work on Part Four, but I hope you enjoyed this post, I know it’s rather short and sad, but I honestly don’t remember seeing many shows last year.

And for The Song of The Day, I pick Greedy by Tate Mcrae1.
Bye for now and I’ll see you in the next one, God Bless.
I do not own this song or the album it’s a part of, all credit goes to Tate Mcrae, her team, and her studio.
